The Breakfast Room was very pleasant and private for residents, separate from the main pub area. A range of continental breakfast items, juices, tea and coffee were available at all times.

The Sunday lunch was lovely and the staff were friendly. At night, after arriving back at 2145 when we were told the bar would stay open until at least 2230, we found the back fire door left open and had to take a long unlit walk or drive that ended with a difficult reverse turn. Security at night was lacking, so we decided to leave at 10 pm and go home, with no follow‑up from the hotel about my complaints.
