I had a wonderful afternoon and evening at the Almhütte after cycling up on my e‑bike. Christoph and Stefan served delicious Bavarian specialties in an exceptionally relaxing atmosphere. At sunset they pointed out the best spot to enjoy it. Unfortunately the room I slept in wasn’t offered. Booking only provides double rooms. Consequently I paid 70 € even though I only had a single room; 35 € would have been appropriate. They explained that this is due to Booking’s business strategy. My criticism is therefore not directed at the host but at Booking. As everyone else has noted, there is no communal bath, no shower. But the warm hospitality and phenomenal location make up for the minimal shortcomings. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
