“We loved it so much we are planning to bring our family back with us in six months.”

The hotel was spotless! The breakfast was very good with many choices. The restaurant had very good food and great wine. The location was beautiful and only a 5 minute walk from the train station or downtown. The VRM guest pass to take trains and busses saved us substantially on local transportation. Definitely take the Sesselbahn to see the view of the Rhine, but I would suggest taking it both ways unless you are in for a very steep climb down. We did it and we are in our sixties, but it was quite steep and the risk of falling is nontrivial. Also seriously go to Burg Eltz, it is a bit of a hike, but it is a castle that could have appeared in any movie. Consider how you get to Burg Eltz carefully, the VRM pass makes the train and bus free, but required four transfers for us due to construction on the rail line and it made this trip take four hours each way. The Rhine valley is FULL of beautiful scenery, beautiful churches, castles and history. Definitely exceeded our expectations and the Hotel Baudobriga was the perfect place to stay!. Seriously it was all awesome. The only caution is be careful hiking down from the Sesselbahn in Boppard it is steep and consider how to get to Burg Eltz carefully. Lastly, look out for water levels. We were there in early October after a severe draught and so couldn't do a boat tour (which didn't really disappoint us that much)

“Fine but the shower door needs sorting.”

Typical Germany no issues everywhere fine. The lady at reception spoke English & we would happily go back again. The shower door in our bathroom leaked
