Horní Strakův mlýn

The surroundings were beautiful, the décor tasteful, and the location great. The bed was comfortable and the room was nicely decorated with a matching colour scheme. The receptionist was friendly and pleasant to talk to. The coffee from the machine was surprisingly good. The breakfast was a bit modest and the presentation weaker. In the bathroom’s wire basket there was no trash bag. The room itself felt like a loft for someone barely two metres tall – a helmet would fit :-D

It was amazing to stay in such a beautiful house, though we were alone with a Dachshund. The large outdoor area was great and highly recommended, and the host was very friendly. We’re not picky, but the bedroom was too bright – darker blinds would have helped 👍🏻

The breakfast at Racek was average after we moved there by agreement because the booked room was no longer available, and the selection of foods was limited. The rooms had no air conditioning, so it was quite hot.

“Toskánská romantika po česku.”

The tasteful and carefully executed renovation of the old mill turned out well, and the grown garden with biotopes and a sauna beautifully completes this romantic setting in the filmic Úštěk. It would benefit from removing cobwebs, more thorough cleaning, and improving the breakfast, as the selection is very limited.
