The dinner was excellent, and the house bitter was just right; breakfast was outstanding and the staff were top‑class.

The location was great, and the food was superb.

The room was comfortable and charming, but the bathroom extractor fan stayed on for too long, which was unnecessary at night.

A classic village pub, with a restaurant and other amenities nearby, sits close to historic houses, castles, and beaches—all easily reachable, even by bus—so there’s nothing more to ask for.
