“Good value stopover on Coast to coast if you have the energy to get up the hill”

The hotel was in a nice little village. The staff were very friendly and the food was good. It was very good value for money. Not the fault of the owner but it is quite a long way off the route of the coast to coast walk – up a very steep hill after a long day’s walk. But some pubs in the area only offer 2‑night stays.

“Brilliant all round”

Great welcome and received help with all our luggage which was really appreciated Fantastic choice and quality of beers All food was nice Lovely locals atmosphere in the bar - clearly popular Easy to park and lovely elevated location- nice early morning and late evening strolls locally Very close to Grosmont (steam train), waterfall and Whitby and beaches etc Lovely large bedroom (with a lounge and 2 x tv's !), very good shower. Nothing
