Nestled beside a tranquil lake, the Inn on the Lake offers picturesque gardens and a serene countryside setting. Each room features a flat‑screen TV, en suite bathroom, tea/coffee station, work desk, and hairdryer. The on‑site pub serves steaks and daily fish specials with lake‑view outdoor seating. Godalming’s historic town center is a 10‑minute walk, while Clandon Park and Hatchlands Park are within a 30‑minute drive.

The furnishings were lovely, the staff friendly and the food good, but the corridors and stairs to the bedrooms were long.

The rooms were lovely with very comfortable beds, the restaurant menu was good and the pork dish was superb, yet the wait for food was very long because the kitchen was one floor down.

Evening dinner food was very nice. Staff were very helpful in the main - especially with the considerable difficulty in accessing the bedroom. Room was dark and dingy, not at all inviting. We appreciate it is an old building but you should make guests aware of the tortuous twists, turns and steps involved in reaching certain bedrooms so we could have asked for an alternative. Breakfast system of choices rather disappointing
