When I arrived, the door code was wrong, so I had to call the front desk; there was no toilet paper, an unpleasant odor lingered in the poorly ventilated room, and the internet connection was severely under‑powered and unusable. After ten days in Iceland, this was by far the most mediocre accommodation we encountered.

The overall infrastructure and mattress were good, but it was unclear which of the three hostel buildings my room was in; no staff were present, forcing me to ask other guests for directions, which could have been handled better.
