This spot is a good 8 miles off Hwy 62, in the desert with views of the mountains; if you get a clear sky night you will have a starry night. We did not get so lucky, but the sunset was beautiful. The instructions on how to get there were right on, but the sandy roads were bumpy. A group of campers were loud until past midnight, so it was not the quiet night we were hoping for.
