A great Mercure hotel; everything is at a good level.
“Excellent hotel, but service could be warmer”
Good spot on the main road to Rize, about 10 minutes from the airport, with underground parking. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfy, with excellent beds, sea views, and good toiletries. Outside noise is well muted. The bathrooms are large, very clean, and well kept, with high‑quality toiletries. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection and freshly prepared dishes; the chefs were brilliant. Zeynep from the breakfast team deserves special mention for being exceptionally hardworking and helpful. Cafés and shops are under the hotel, and many restaurants are within a short drive; Trabzon city center is around 15 minutes away. The welcome at check‑in could have been warmer; we were handed passports and room keys but no greeting or assistance to our rooms. At breakfast, no one directed guests to a table, and sometimes we had to find one ourselves or ask for a spot to be cleared. Though the rooms were cleaned well, there were occasional small oversights, such as pillows left on the floor and wooden tea stirrers not being replenished. Overall, a very good hotel with excellent rooms, bathrooms, breakfast, and location. A bit more warmth, attentiveness, and attention to detail would make the experience even better.
The stay was clean and comfortable, with lovely sea views, and the breakfast was truly outstanding! There are several nice shops and restaurants within walking distance. We arrived at the end of August and the building and elevator felt a little too warm, though nothing unbearable.
