The Polis Grand Hotel in Athens is a 5-minute walk from Omonoia Metro Station and 300 metres from the National Archaeological Museum. It features a rooftop bar with Acropolis and Lycabettus Hill views, a small fitness centre, and rooms with marble bathrooms, air conditioning, and free WiFi. A Greek buffet breakfast and Greek cuisine are served at the rooftop bar-restaurant and Polis Restaurant.

The room was clean but unusually small; breakfast was exceptional with a huge variety of dishes. Later I received a room with a kettle but no water, tea, coffee, or sugar sachets.

The location is excellent, breakfast is superb, and the staff work hard and are very nice. It feels a bit old-fashioned.

The room itself was comfortable and well-appointed, making it a solid choice for anyone visiting Athens who wants a perfect shower and a cozy space to relax; the only downside was the street noise that seeped in.
