Kakao Cobá Hotel & Cenote Experience

I booked through a platform and paid in advance. When I arrived at the hotel gate, it was closed and marked for sale. I had to wait hours for the booking team to respond, wasting valuable vacation time. Is there anything else I should mention?

“No es lo que parece pero es una estancia diferente”

The accommodation was truly unique and peaceful, with a spotless cleanliness. However, the cenote was a letdown, as it was dirty and not what I expected. Additionally, the advertised activities, such as honey and chocolate tastings, were not available. Considering the high price, I felt that the experience didn't quite live up to its promise.

The price with cenote experience was the deciding factor for me, but upon arrival, I was shocked to find a complete mess that bore no resemblance to the photos. A couple was working hard to maintain the property, but it was clear that the owner, who lives in Cancun, had invested little in the upkeep. The beds were subpar, and the cenote was dirty and full of leaves. The bathroom and shower area were off-limits, and everything felt dated and dirty.

Antonio was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the welcome was top-notch. However, the accommodation itself was original but far too small and humid.
