Everything was peaceful and quiet. The cows were adorable and we really enjoyed them. No complaints.
“Really relaxing and peaceful”
Everything was great. It was quiet and peaceful, very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The hosts anticipated every guest need and gave clear instructions for the boiler and fireplace. We loved the donkeys and cows. It’s definitely the place to stay if you want some headspace. The only issue was the route Google Maps sent me on—over the mountain, but fortunately I didn’t encounter anything else on the road.
The location was lovely, peaceful, comfortable, and clean. It served as a perfect base for a short stay to explore the area.
“Fantastic relaxed gateaway in the middle of the nature, recommended!”
The location was fantastic—remote and relaxed, perfect for a weekend getaway. We fished near Foxford, just a 13‑minute drive from the property. Public transport doesn’t reach the site, so a car is necessary, which is typical for most places in western Ireland. A downside was that spiders and insects could wander in if you’re not careful; this is natural for a nature‑centered spot. Regular checks of doors and windows by the owner could stop nests from forming.
The place is pretty nice with beautiful views from the window, and you can control the heating and hot water yourself. A pleasant gift greeted us at the entrance. The main thing is to pick days without wind so you can enjoy the fresh air; we arrived during a strong wind and rain but were still happy because the views from the window were beautiful. We did see two large spiders, which isn’t a big deal since they’re common in Ireland and normal.
