“Disappointing”

The room was very hot, and there were no instructions on how to use the air‑conditioning unit. Opening the window overnight wasn’t an option because the room was on the ground floor. The cereal selection was limited, and the full English breakfast was mediocre. I was told breakfast finished at 8.30, I arrived at 8.05, and service was okay. I was still eating at 8.30 when I was reminded that breakfast finished at 8.30. I felt I was being asked to leave even though I had not finished eating. I wasn’t asking for any more service, just finishing my meal. NOT IMPRESSED!

“Continuos improvement and good front desk customer relations”

The location was convenient and the supervisor was helpful, and the room was decent even though the facility is under renovation; the toilet was fine. The wifi didn’t work in the room, so I had to step outside, which was inconvenient because I’m not a UK resident, and the overall neatness could be better.

“You get what you pay for”

It was close and quiet, which was good. However, the air conditioning didn’t work in the 34‑degree heat, the room smelled strongly of oil/fat so all my belongings carried that scent all day, the beds were not very comfortable, and the breakfast was not very fresh—especially the butter, which was off, so I left most of it.

Working in Harlow, the staff made me feel at home—very welcoming and kind, attending to every need, giving me a fan, bringing me food to my room, and creating a really nice vibe.
