We called the Dun Beag cottage home, and it was spacious, well arranged, and gave us a quiet, comfy base for the trip. Nothing else to mention.

“Overpriced rooms trading on a building with very faded glory.”

The building and its surroundings are magnificent with substantial grounds and a river just below. It was easy to find. Although it is obvious that the costs would be substantial it really needs a good deal of minor repairs and updating, ranging from worn out carpets, gouges along some of the landing walls and overlooked maintenance of the rooms. Although there was no indication on our booking breakfast turned out to be a 2 level affair and we had apparently only paid for the "basic" continental level. On our tour of Galloway over 5 nights it turned out to be the most expensive by a good margin and the least pleasant

“Great location and friendly sraff”

The staff are so friendly. The room was big, comfortable and quiet. It was easy to relax and get to the local sites. Plenty of parking and great natural surroundings. The food was a little bit sad for the prices and the water pressure was so awful we struggled to make it work
