Located in Naumburg’s Old Town, Pension Onkel Ernst is two minutes from Marienplatz Square and market. Rooms feature wooden floors, free Wi‑Fi, satellite TV and en‑suite bathrooms. A breakfast buffet is served each morning; cafés, restaurants and bars are nearby. Hiking and cycling trails wind through vineyards and along Saale River, with Naumburg Ost station ten minutes’ walk away.

The breakfast was lovingly arranged, there was nothing missing – a perfect start to the day.

The hotel sits in the centre, parking is just across the street in a quiet area, and the staff are friendly. The room itself is unattractive and boring. Parking on the uneven lot costs 5,00 € per night, which isn’t advertised. Breakfast was disappointing; instead of the usual great fresh German bread rolls we only received two half‑baked rolls, and the sausage was tasteless.

Breakfast was very good, varied, and plentiful. The room furnishings were a bit of a surprise, ranging from “quite old” (the wardrobe and the small coffee table) to modern (the bed, etc.). The bathroom/WC and vestibule were very spacious. The location is central and the old town is easily reachable on foot.
