The room, bedding, bed, location, family atmosphere, and stone construction were all positives, but the breakfast was very limited and the same every day; the service was basically the owner’s mother trying to act as a waitress without success, although she was a very kind lady.

“Cozy room in Valbone near the main part of town.”

The new facilities were nice and the bed was comfortable, yet there was no daily housekeeping and the room could have used a refresh at least once during our four‑night stay.

The location was superb, but there were no storage options or hooks in the bathroom.

“Polecam”

We hit the spot perfectly! The hotel is modern and well finished, with a fantastic mountain view (though in Valbonë it’s not that hard to find). It’s close to the start of the trail to Zla Kolata (though those coming from Theth will walk a bit more). The staff were very courteous and helpful, and the on‑site restaurant (you can eat outside) serves excellent Albanian cuisine. Breakfast was tasty, but over the three‑day stay we always received the same set.

“Aardige gastvrouw en alles is het netjes en schoon”

The view was beautiful, but the shower and toilet were too close together – you couldn’t keep the toilet dry while showering.
