“This property falls well short of the standards expected of a five-star hotel.”
From the moment I checked in, the lobby was buzzing with a live concert, making it hard to talk to the front desk. The staff were helpful when I asked for a room change the next day, which they arranged immediately, and that was the only bright spot. Inside, a strong mold smell hit me right away, and later I found a cracked bathtub, a worn toilet seat, and no emergency alarm in the bathroom. The furniture feels ancient and the breakfast is awful—last Monday the omelet was so watery it looked like soup, and both the bar‑served coffee and the machine’s brew taste more like coffee‑flavored tea. Clearly the hotel needs investment and renovation, yet the front desk still tries hard to solve complaints.
