The cottage had a natural wooden feel, was peaceful and clean, but it’s far from the main city—though a good scooter makes it manageable. The staff cleaned my room without telling me, which felt a bit intrusive since I wasn’t home to let them in.

“Very sweet bungalows just far enough away from the noise of town (I’m ok w the train passing close by!)”

The bungalows were super cozy and the garden/waterway was lovingly tended. However, changes happen quickly; I asked about pedal bikes, were told none were available in Lamphun, yet they had just been introduced to town. The restaurant was closed, but the local market offered excellent food, though there were no sit‑down options.

“Luogo fuori dal tempo”

The property is located in the beautiful village of Lumphun, which attracted me and my girlfriend because of its local market just a 2‑minute walk away and its larger night market with typical Thai food and goods. It’s also only a 35‑minute drive from Chiang Mai. Suksathan Lamphun feels like a fairy‑tale village, with staff always attentive and ready to care for the gardens and guest rooms. At night, the resort’s ponds create a perfect setting for frogs that keep chirping all night, making the place even more beautiful than during the day. If you’re looking for a peaceful spot, I highly recommend it. The only suggestion I have is to provide a WhatsApp number so guests can contact the property; currently the front desk only uses a landline and booking messages, but aside from that, everything is exceptional.
