The location of Prentiss House was super convenient. I also liked the affordability of the rental property. The stairs were extremely steep; I was afraid I would fall down on them.

Another wonderful stay! I have stayed at Prentiss House many times before, and my visit this past week was just as enjoyable as the others. The historic house is nestled on a quiet residential street, yet it is highly convenient—well within walking distance of the Porter Square T station, great local restaurants, and shops. The digital keyless system worked perfectly, allowing smooth entry through both the front door and my unit door. I always look forward to returning to this location and hope to be back soon. Room 6 had a problem with hot water in kitchen sink and bathroom sink (hot water perfectly fine in shower) Prentiss House will address for next guest

I booked the Prentiss House with some doubt because it was the last affordable choice, but I'm glad I did. The place feels like a charming home, which is unusual on a business trip, and the bathroom is a real highlight with its beautiful tile and retro‑chic sink. Modern touches, such as the wine‑cooler nook, blend nicely, and the king‑size bed with a comfy mattress gave me great sleep. The windows and built‑ins capture classic Cambridge character, making the stay feel special. I was initially worried about the room’s location next to the entrance, but it turned out to be very quiet, and the street was quiet too. I didn’t get to use the lovely outdoor terrace, and the espresso coffee in the morning was just as good as the one I could use in the common space.

I found the hotel lacking. The services felt overpriced and everything was too systematized with little personal attention. For Latin Americans it’s odd that no one shows you around at the start. The room itself was clean and well‑maintained.
