The food quality and variety were outstanding, and all the staff were helpful, friendly, and cheerful. The facilities offered something for everyone without being intrusive. We missed the specialty restaurant with service.

We spent a lovely time at Albatros Makadi Resort with our little child. The property is huge, well kept and exceptionally clean, offering a wide range of facilities, restaurants and zones so you never feel stuck in one spot. For families with small kids it’s useful to know that ground‑floor rooms/apartments don’t have enclosed terraces, which didn’t suit us because of the child. The accommodation is spread over houses/buildings on several levels, and there are no elevators. We appreciated the variety of restaurants, ample walking space, and the fact that the resort is large enough that you always have somewhere to go and something to do. Overall, we had a very nice family holiday and would gladly return, especially when the pools are warmer. We were there at the beginning of October and the main complaint was the pool temperature; the water was very cold, so the pools were often almost empty. As far as we understood, heating starts only in November. On the bright side, the sea was gorgeous and very pleasant for swimming, and the beach was long, pretty and great for strolling.

“Absolutely fantastic!”

We enjoyed a brilliant stay at the resort and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in Egypt. First of all, a special thank you to Mahmoud Fattouh, who was absolutely fantastic throughout our entire stay. He kept in touch with us, made sure everything was going well, and was always available whenever we needed help. He kindly arranged an iron for us, allowed us to have a late check‑out at no extra charge due to our late flight, and even let us continue enjoying the resort’s facilities until it was time to leave for the airport. This level of care and attention really made a difference to our holiday, and we truly appreciate everything he did for us. Mahmoud is a real credit to the resort! The hotel itself was brilliant, clean and well maintained. The grounds were lovely, and the overall atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy our holiday. The rest of the staff were also very kind, friendly and helpful, always welcoming us with a smile and doing their best to make our stay comfortable. The food was good, with a great variety of options thanks to the 5–6 different restaurants available. There was plenty of choice, so we could enjoy something different throughout our stay. The steakhouse is also worth mentioning, although you need to book it in advance, with one visit included per stay. The entertainment was another highlight. The evening shows were pretty decent, enjoyable and fun, giving us something to look forward to after a day spent relaxing by the pool or enjoying the resort. Overall, we had a wonderful holiday, enjoyed the facilities, appreciated the hospitality and felt well looked after. The combination of cleanliness, good food, friendly staff and enjoyable entertainment made this a great experience. A huge thank you once again to Mahmoud Fattouh for going above and beyond to help us, especially on our departure day. His kindness and professionalism deserve special recognition. The shop, book store is an absolutely rip off. But it’s not part of the hotel. Everybody needs to be careful when going inside and buying anything as they are lying on prices and you get scammed when you pay. Also it’s very overpriced so get ready.

The complex is perfect with a large pier and even Rosaly and pedal boats! All meals morning, noon and evening!
