The place felt very clean, but the water pressure in the bathroom sink was weak.
“Lovely traditional ryokan”
This traditional ryokan has spacious rooms and hot spring baths, and you can reserve a bath for private use; our room overlooked the garden, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed a very good Japanese breakfast and also booked dinner there on one of our nights, with plenty of fresh and varied food. The location is about a 15‑minute walk from the train station and a 5‑minute walk from the bus station, and the garden is lovely. All good.
“Charming Old Hotel”
Stepping into this century‑old hotel instantly won me over, even though it’s a little distance from the train station, it sits near attractions such as 唐津神社 and 唐津城. The staff were incredibly welcoming, especially the owner who drove our elderly companions to the bus stop, and the onsen offered a fantastic view of 唐津城 – though the wooden bath fittings looked a bit worn and could do with an upgrade.
The food tasted good, yet the room had no windows to open and offered no view.
“Great Value Ryokan Stay”
I had a great stay at this ryokan, especially considering the affordable price. The service was really impressive, felt super personalized, and the staff made a big effort to communicate with me even though I'm a foreigner. The room was spacious with a lovely view of the Japanese garden, which was beautifully maintained. My only minor complaints are that the onsen was really hot and it's a bit of a walk from the train station, but that's about it.
