The staff were really nice, the budget room was perfectly clean for a one‑night stay, and the location was good, though it was just a little old, nothing to complain about.

The bed was pretty large and there were two markets just down the road; the shower had hot water and the Wi‑Fi was solid. The man who checked us in was friendly but we struggled to get along because he didn’t speak English and I’m not fluent in German, so we had to use a broken German. Initially we were handed a double room without a bathroom, even though I had booked a private one, but they eventually swapped rooms. Still, the single bed had no sheet and, since we couldn’t talk much with the owner, my friend and I had to share the same bed. He charged us 25 € for the night (two people), but after chatting with other guests I learned he was taking 20 € per night from them (also two people). I think there was a kitchen, but nobody pointed it out and we didn’t want to wander around, so I’m not sure where it is. Overall we were disappointed.

It’s a terrible place. They kicked you out the door without any explanation, even if you have a reservation, just to make a little extra money.

“Worst hostel I’ve ever chosen, unserious staff”

Absolutely nothing. They didn’t even let us in, even though we had a booked reservation! We had told the staff we were arriving late and they said it was fine. When we got to the hostel everything was open, the lights were on, but no one was there. We called and the guy just said, “I am not coming.” We had to spend the whole night on the streets. Let’s not even mention how unsafe it was for other guests, because everything was open, but there was no staff to stop me from entering someone else’s room! Do NOT book this shitty hostel!

“worth it”

It was very spacious, the bed was comfortable, and overall it was very clean. The outdoor shared area was great, especially since our room had direct access to it. It’s very quiet, the staff are very friendly, hot water was available, and there’s a free washing machine. A market is very close. They also provide a kettle, a hairdryer, and an AC unit in the room. For the price it’s excellent. From there you can walk to anywhere in the city center, so we didn’t need public transport (even though it’s on a hill). The internet was bad most of the time and there was no shower head holder.
