Huab Lodge & Bush Spa is situated in Damaraland, surrounded by lush vegetation and offering breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. The lodge features a swimming pool, natural thermal spring, bar, and free Wi-Fi and parking. Each bungalow boasts a private veranda, thatched roof, and African-inspired decor, with private bathroom and shower views. A complimentary breakfast is served daily, and packed lunches are available upon request.

The welcome, authenticity, charm, and originality were all spot on, but a few pieces of equipment were a bit worn out, and we really are at the end of the world!

The lodge’s remote setting feels genuinely African, yet it’s luxuriously appointed; the owners, former owners and staff are all fantastic, and the evening menus as well as breakfast were superb. Unfortunately, the bungalow’s air‑conditioning never worked and couldn’t be fixed, which slightly dented the comfort level.

This spot is wonderful and peaceful, and the hosts are very warm; sharing meals with other guests and the hosts creates a family‑like, cozy vibe.

The owners were incredibly helpful, especially the husband who assisted when we needed a new tyre. However, there was no fridge, no insect repellent provided even though we were next to a river, no air‑conditioning despite the high price, and no drinking water in the room.
