The location and breakfast were good. The facilities were old and not updated, the room was not clean (a dead insect on the windowsill), the shampoo and soap dispensers were empty, the key‑card reader from the garage into the hotel didn't work (and it was raining).

The location was excellent. The air conditioning didn't work in the hallway. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off the wall. The carpet was dirty.

The hotel sits in a central spot, but every time we tried to enter our room we had to ask for help with the key card; the staff explained the system was broken and that they were waiting to replace it.

The location on the main street of downtown Fairhope is fantastic, with easy walking access to stores, shops, restaurants, and parks. Outside the main lobby, the hotel was very warm and humid; I'm not sure if the AC was malfunctioning, but the elevators, hallways, and rooms were pretty uncomfortable. Even with the room AC set to the lowest temperature, the room stayed quite warm overnight. The pillows were flimsy, the ice machine was out of order, and the vending machines (drinks) were missing most items.
