It was a pleasure staying in a historic house in Cayenne! The location is perfect for exploring the city, and museums are nearby. I hadn’t realized the hotel had no elevator—though I’m not disabled, a second‑floor room is a bit of a strain on the knees.

The colonial house is gorgeous with a view of Cayenne’s iconic square, but the room wasn’t clean: stains on the walls and fabrics, and a rusted plate near the toilet.

The staff were great, the food tasty, and the bed super comfy, yet the AC was unbelievably loud, squeaking and clearly in need of repair, which kept me from giving a higher score.

The suite is spacious, the balcony is perfectly positioned, and the work area with sofa and coffee table feels nice; the bedding is comfortable. However, there was no room cleaning on Sunday, the coffee supply wasn’t restocked, and there were a few stains on the headboard and in the bathroom, though nothing major.
