The bedroom was really nice, and the swimming pool and sauna were first‑class, yet the bar restaurant’s service was poor.

From the moment we arrived until the end of the weekend, everything was lovely; the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was gorgeous, the food delicious, the location ideal for beach walks with waves in the background, the weather was great, we enjoyed a beautiful, relaxing massage, and the leisure area was lovely—overall a relaxing time in a beautiful setting.

The spa was excellent and the view from our room was great, the staff were friendly, the room was a decent size, and there was an outside patio for drinks, but the bed and pillows were hard, we had to request bathroom items, and breakfast was the worst.

I’ve stayed here many times; it’s a great hotel with a great location and friendly staff, and it’s the only place I’d choose to stay in Carnoustie; everything was fine.
