Nice bedding, good room, close to King’s Cross. There was mold and limescale in the bathroom and it smelled like it.

The place is in a good spot and the bed was comfy, but the shower left a lot of hair in the bottom, otherwise everything worked fine.

The building was clean, had a great location for public transport, but walking three floors with luggage was a hassle.

The only thing we liked was the location. 1. Getting in from the street is very awkward with luggage. 2. The apartment was very dirty; the mattress and mattress cover were stained. 3. There was no wardrobe to store clothes. 4. The bathroom was tiny and unclean; we didn’t even touch the shower mat. 5. Sound insulation was terrible. We would not recommend this place to anyone because of all the problems above and the poor value for money. In short, it’s a shame.

The room had all the basic amenities, an ensuite shower/toilet, a kitchenette stocked with essential items and a few extra basics in the cupboards, which was better than I expected. The bed was clean and comfortable, there were small cupboards and a place to hang clothes, a large electric fan and an upright air conditioner/fan, and two windows with roller blinds that worked properly. A small TV required logging into your favourite apps, and there was a regular double plug by the bedside with an adapter slot for phone/laptop/iPad. It was in a very convenient location relative to Kings Cross Station and local cafés and restaurants. However, there were a few drawbacks: to enter you receive a code to tap on the narrow entrance door to get the key and another code to tap inside for the room key. The entrance hallway and the winding staircase to the top floor are very narrow, making it hard to manoeuvre a larger suitcase or for a taller person climbing the stairs. The room felt ‘stifling’ on a hot day, so I had to use both the fan and the upright fan. The windows had sliding double glazing that could be half opened but not fully, so fresh air couldn’t be let in. My main concern was that the narrow stairs were the only escape route in case of fire.
