“Great location with wonderful hosts!”

The Lodge sits in a great spot, easy to reach by bus and a short walk from Coleford, which is handy if you don't have a car. The room was huge and the décor was one-of-a-kind, and the bed was super comfy. Helen and her husband were incredibly friendly and helpful the whole time, and we’d definitely come back. The TV was tiny, but that didn’t bother us much.

Helen welcomed us with a warm smile and was very helpful. The setting was peaceful, the room felt cozy and distinctive, and we loved the rustic bathroom.

The photos were a little misleading. Inside, there was no extra seating except the bed, even though the pictures showed two comfy seats—one in the room and one in the bathroom. The bathroom did have a chair, and a small heater in the room was a godsend because it was freezing. The location was lovely, especially at night when the lights were on. The interior was stunning, with a beautiful seating area and kitchen, a pizza oven, and log fires that added charm. It was hard to reach a staff member, even though we had a contact number and called five times, but when we finally got in, the staff member we met was lovely and also there when we left, very helpful. We would definitely stay again because it was so beautiful, quiet, and relaxing—exactly what we needed.

The room was amazing, we slept great, the location was perfect, and the hosts were wonderful. There was nothing we didn’t like; it’s a beautiful place.
