Very authentic, a lovely place with friendly people and a warm family vibe ❤️
“Great place in a nice small village”
We had a great stay at Dunas De Areia Preta—spotless rooms, tasty and varied breakfasts, and helpful hosts. The village is tiny but has a decent restaurant and shop, and the beach and natural pools are a 20‑minute walk away. Getting to Tarrafal is a breeze by bus during the day or taxi at night. I’d definitely return.
The hosts were genuine and generous, greeting us at 2:30 a.m. and even swapping a flat tire for us. Breakfasts were always beautifully set, and the spot is close to natural pools and a black‑sand beach. The only downside was the bathroom, which felt a bit dark even with the lights.
“Un très bel appartement à quelques pas de Tarrafal et tout près des magnifiques piscines naturelles”
Zeza was a super attentive host—always smiling and friendly. The place was huge and spotless, and the breakfasts were plentiful and diverse. I’d definitely stay here again.
The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the village is quiet with a supermarket. The only let‑down was that the nearby restaurant mentioned in the description was only a bit underwhelming.
