Schiehallion Hotel

The website advertised a wide double bed in this room, yet it turned out to be two single beds jammed together with single mattresses, making sleep extremely uncomfortable as the middle sagged; I couldn’t properly rate breakfast because it was too late for me and my request for an earlier start was denied, and on the final day I finally had time for breakfast but the cook was late. The ventilation system is broken, a constant smoke smell lingers, opening the window doesn’t help, and there’s a smoking area opposite where you can also hear the road noise.

The room was excellent, large and comfortable, and the staff were friendly, but the breakfast room was part of the bar, quite gloomy, and sparse.

We had everything needed for a fantastic night; the breakfast was so good and complete, everything was clean, and the towels could have been a little nicer but overall everything was great!

The food was lovely, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was lovely, but the bed was a bit too hard even for me, could have used an extra pillow, and the bathroom door needed a bit of oil.
