“Good for first time”
The place is in a great spot and the room was comfy, but the location feels oddly strategic—everything’s within walking distance, which can be a bit much.

El personal fue muy amable y la habitación era grande, pero el hotel estaba en el Old Quarter y no en las calles más agradables; además, no había opción de desayunar en el hotel.

The hotel was pretty central, just a 15‑minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake and all the nearby shops! It was very clean, the room was spacious and the bed super comfy! Even though the street is loud, you hear nothing at all. The staff were adorable!

The location is good, but I stayed for 2 weeks and the first real issue was that I booked 6 months ahead requesting a window. The standard room has two windows—one to the hallway and one in the middle of the building—so it’s completely dark with no natural light. I told the receptionist about this and that we’d be staying long, asking for a window in advance, but they didn’t inform me that the room had no light, so I wouldn’t have booked it. The receptionists weren’t helpful at all with changing our room and their attitude wasn’t pleasant. Two weeks in a small, dark room is not a pleasure. It was cheap but not the cheapest for what they offer, which is basically nothing. Breakfast was extra. The room was small and unclean; we had to dust the whole room ourselves because there was dust everywhere, especially in the wardrobe. When I told the receptionists, they didn’t send anyone to help. The bedding had stains, there was dried mucus on the wall, and the bathroom was a health hazard—no one ever cleaned the shower head, which was full of dirt. The faucet, doors, and walls were all stained. Housekeeping during the stay was non‑existent except for making the bed. In two weeks that’s not enough. The housekeeping trolley is always left in the hallway, and the stairs are just storage for housekeeping stuff. Drain flies are everywhere; even with the door closed they land on the bed and pillows. We found them everywhere. The air‑con is placed directly over the head, so expect to wake up sick from it. Really bad experience from beginning to end.

The property was very comfortable and the staff, especially Hannah (or Annah?), were friendly and helpful! I liked everything.
