I stayed because I wanted to go to the nearby fireworks festival. The facilities were clean and tidy, and they introduced me to recommended restaurants in the area, which was very helpful. The host couple were very homey and made the stay enjoyable. I would definitely stay again. Nothing to add.

“Cool location and a really hospitable owner”

Spent the night here with some friends (2 couples / 2 rooms) on a road trip from Miyazaki down south near Kagoshima. We got two rooms on the western side of the property, which was actually its own self-contained wing. The owner speaks English and was very friendly / hospitable - he told us we basically had that wing to ourselves, so we were able to have a little party and play board games / drink that night without having to worry about noise. For dinner, the owner helped us order delivery food from a local spot nearby -- huge portions of tasty fresh Japanese cuisine, which we enjoyed in the large common dining / living area. The property is situated in the countryside outside of Shibushi, among rice fields. A peaceful and scenic setting

“快適な自然体の宿”

自然豊かで、近くに温泉や食事が出来るところがあり快適に過ごせました。部屋も開くて清潔、快適でした。 オーナーさんもフレンドリーでいろいろな旅行談義も聞けて良かったです。. 特にありませんが、太い道からの入り口と広すぎる駐車場が少し判りにくいかな。

“Lovely owners, lovely small hotel”

Nice tatami room, clean and simple with everything you need. The deck is an added benefit. I was on my own, a bigger group should try for the garden view room—very Kyoto. The owner and his wife were absolutely lovely. Paper screens mean it’s quite bright at night. I travel with an eye mask. There is a street light outside. Perhaps it could be turned off at 10pm-ish? It’s far from town, bring your own food—microwave, no IH ring.
