We were supposed to stay at Solmar House for a week, but on arrival we received no check‑in instructions. After repeatedly contacting the owner, who never replied, we had to change accommodation. The situation was very uncomfortable, especially the long wait. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

The space and bed were fine. There was a lot of noise and very little soundproofing, as advertised. People didn’t respect the rules, and I booked for two nights but only stayed one because it was so unpleasant. – José Machado

The cleaning and a bit of comfort were acceptable. The location was inconvenient, and there was no parking.

The advertised photos promised a stay I paid for but never used. I booked in advance, but on arrival there were other guests inside. Little information was provided. I had to spend more than twice what I had planned to find something last minute. The entrance was unreliable and access overall was poor. Inside, when I opened the lock, it wasn’t there; I messaged and they asked the cleaning staff where the key was, and a mobile phone rang immediately—if it had been a guest, they would have left and we would have discussed the situation. It was all very strange. They only said the reservation had been duplicated and that they would refund immediately, which hasn’t happened. This place should be removed from this and other apps; it’s a scam.

The place is quiet and the view is nice, and it looks clean, but the shiny things aren't all gold. There were too many bed bugs in the room, so you can't sleep, and my whole body ended up with pimples.
