It was situated on a beautiful Free State farm with a river nearby and magnificent views. The accommodation was quirky and interesting, with unusual furniture and artefacts, and it was clear that someone had put a lot of thought into the décor and expressed their personality. I can’t think of any problems, although some people might be put off by the many stairs to climb in the Twin Towers.

What I liked most was the tranquility and stunning scenery. The unit was comfortable and well maintained, and the estate offered a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The location is also excellent for exploring Fouriesburg and the Eastern Free State

The spot was spot on, and there was nothing to complain about.

The view was nice, and it might have been fine in summer, but in winter it was a disaster. The place had no heating except a tiny fireplace and a gas heater, the duvets were soaked in dog hair that set off my allergy, and there was no hot water when it hit -2 degrees. We left the next day, and all three of us ended up sick because the winter conditions were just not what was promised. It was a total no‑go.
