“Неудачный опыт”
I stayed here from 26 to 29 August (booked through another site). The mattresses were comfortable and the place was clean, plus the metro route passes a beautiful temple. The worst part was the location—far from the metro, uphill, a bleak outskirts spot that feels unsafe at night. Every evening after midnight, people sat at a table outside my window (which didn’t close properly, only covered with a mattress from the courtyard side) smoking and talking. On the street, teenagers shout, dogs bark, and cars honk abruptly. My room faced the road, so it wasn’t a quiet spot to recover after day hikes in Tbilisi. Many reviews praise the host’s hospitality, but I didn’t feel that way. It was evening, I had just landed, tired, and wanted to sleep early. The host was absent, but his assistant (who checked me in) insisted I call him on a messenger app. I hadn’t bought a local SIM, Wi‑Fi wouldn’t connect, I entered the wrong number, and I started to panic—why the rush? I thought maybe he had something important to say, but it was just a greeting and “if you have questions, contact me.” It couldn’t wait until morning, right? The next evening, after returning from the city, I couldn’t get into the guest house because no one told me the gate code—neighbors on the street let me in. They kept reminding me to leave a review. That “persistent service” is unheard of in any guest house. Odd check‑in rules, staff attitude, and the inability to sleep well ruined the impression. I had booked another room there for a few more days, but the check‑in didn’t happen for reasons beyond my control. Well, that’s better.
