Les Chambres de Mathilde

The location was perfect, making it easy to reach historic sites, shops, and restaurants. The building that houses the B&B is absolutely beautiful, lovingly restored to highlight its authentic French character. What made the stay extra special was the owner, who was available to answer questions, provide information about Angers, call a taxi, and more. I plan to return to Angers and would be honored to stay at Les Chambres de Mathilde again! Nothing negative—everything was lovely.

“Lovely cute bed and breakfast in a great location”

A charming little bed and breakfast tucked down a quiet street. The owner was very friendly and helpful with everything, even helping us with our luggage on the 2nd floor. Breakfast was included and featured fresh croissants, bread, jam, and homemade honey. We also loved the 5‑month‑old forest cat. The stairs were a bit of a challenge, but they kept us fit!

“wunderschönes Bürgerhaus”

A beautiful old town hall, stylish rooms, very friendly reception, lovely garden, and very fine homemade honey sold there. We had a street‑side room that became noisy toward the morning—toward the garden would have been perfect—but it was still very nice.
