The staff were amazing and so lovely; we dined at the restaurant twice for dinner and the food was exceptional.

Overall, it was a great location to stay, nice and quiet, clean and tidy. The view of lake Rortorua was nice, and the continental breakfast was top marks. I left some property behind but was sure they would send it back to me at my convenience after I left the town. The instructions on how to operate the spa bath were lacking, there was no bin in the kitchen, and there were no sharp knives to chop up fruit and veg.

The location right on the lake was great, the staff were exceptional—above and beyond and very hard‑working! The bed was comfy, the room a good size, and the curtains were great darkening curtains. However, the shower was dirty/moldy, the soap dispenser was rusted, and laundry took 3 hours for one load—use quick wash instead of AI wash if you want a shorter wash time.
