“A very nice place to stay in central Valletta, beautifully restored old building.”
Chateau La Vallette is a beautifully-restored old Valletta building on a side street a few minutes walk from the busy part of Valletta. Getting in was easy. The interior of the building has modern facilities fitting into old architecture - I thought "I wish my house looked like this" when I first saw it. My room was pretty nice. Also a modern look to an old room and everything felt solid and well-maintained. It was very clean. The airco worked very well (in fact I had to turn up the temperature slightly) and the (free) WiFi seemed fast. There's a shared kitchen you can use if you want including free TV and coffee. Plus you can sit in the nice little courtyard (which I didn't have time to do). In general it was very peaceful with very little noise because my room was not on the street. I didn't have face-to-fact contact with the owner, but she sent me WhatsApp messages with instructions on how to enter and responded quickly to me. There's not much not to like as long as you realise this is in a side street and some of the rooms have a view onto a small courtyard where the sky is a few floors up. I could hear people walking around on the floor above, but it didn't disturb me. It's an old house so wooden floors make some noise
