The hotel is situated in a beautiful spot and the beds are comfortable. The restaurant offers a lovely view and the staff are very friendly and helpful, with tasty and varied breakfasts. However, the room was cold; only the floor heating in the bathroom worked, and after an intervention we received an electric heater. The shower water wasn’t hot either. It seems the chef has changed, because the food isn’t as good as before. A big disappointment was the absence of pears for the Gorgonzola and walnut salad; the waiter offered an apple that tasted somewhat like a pear, which was okay but not ideal. The next evening I ordered the same dish, still no pears. The biggest flaw is the so‑called SPA: the pool water is cold, there’s no jacuzzi, and the massages are a failure. I’d rate it a 4 out of 10. The massage therapist was lovely but still lacks professionalism for the 330 zl price. The hotel shouldn’t market itself as Medocal&SPA. I’ve been here before and never felt that the masseuses were merely random people; they should be qualified specialists. The cherry on top is the lack of balcony chairs: the view is great, but you have to stand on the balcony for five minutes. Unfortunately, reviews have mentioned the missing chairs and the owners haven’t addressed it, even though it shouldn’t cost much. It’s a shame.
