I loved everything about this place. The room is unique and comfortable, and it feels like living in the jungle. You can easily get there by bus. For me, it’s one of the best places to stay in Matara. There’s a quiet beach right in front of the hotel with no people. You can still reach the main spots around Matara in about 20 minutes. The host family is very kind and welcoming, and the breakfast is really good. There’s no AC, but the fan works perfectly. I slept well and didn’t wake up from the heat, unlike other places I stayed. The WiFi is also good.

“Wonderful hosts made it an enjoyable stay”

The breakfast was super fresh and tasty, and they even offered gluten‑free options, which was amazing! The hosts were very friendly and helpful, giving us recommendations for where to see the turtles. Wildlife out the back of the tree house was a great place to spot monkeys and birds. Although the kettle wasn’t in our room at check‑in, the host sourced one and supplied tea and coffee. They were very attentive to our breakfast preferences and let me use their fridge to store drinks. The room description feels a bit exaggerated; it was very basic, had no minibar, no sea view, and only a shared kitchen. We stayed in the upstairs room that looked out over the garden.

A dreamlike place—absolutely recommended and right in the middle of Talalla Beach and Matara, with a beach you can reach in 2 minutes on foot. We arrived at night and could just call them anytime; they greeted us with a smile and did everything possible to arrange things. The host alone makes it worth staying there; a person you can trust 1000 percent in every way. We had trouble with the airline that didn’t deliver our luggage for days, and he helped us as usual. The monkeys were on the balcony the first morning and a monitor lizard watched us while we ate. Fresh mango was always available at breakfast. You can really immerse yourself and feel at home—happy to return on the next trip. Thanks for the great stay.

Absolutely amazing accommodation, a great little room with a terrace overlooking the jungle, clean, everyone friendly, and the young owner chatted in broken English. He recommended nearby places to visit. Across the road is a beautiful beach with great waves for swimming. And breakfast? Absolutely perfect. Thanks, I recommend it to everyone and we would definitely come back 👍🌞🤗💓
