“FORFÆRDELIGT HOTEL - BOOK IKKE!”

The only positive thing was the safe on the premises; everything else was a disaster: we had to sleep on our own towels because the bedding was filthy and stained, and we checked out the next morning. We paid 222 US dollars plus 12 dollars in tourist tax for one night—overpriced for a hotel that shouldn’t be on this side. The reception was handled by an unlicensed gentleman who barely spoke English, and we were assigned a dimly lit room where several light bulbs didn’t work. The sheets were spotted, the towels were worse, and the toilet paper was almost empty. There were no toiletries like shampoo or hand soap. The bathroom window couldn’t close, letting in traffic noise and street noise. The TV didn’t work, and cables were hanging from the wall. The hallway stairs were littered with trash. We didn’t get breakfast even though we had paid for it, and after seeing how dirty and worn the hotel was, we were worried about the kitchen’s hygiene.
