Sahara Happy Camp

The staff, the property, the food (I ate the best chicken‑and‑lemon tajine of my Morocco stay!), the services, and the rooms all surpassed my expectations! The clear difference compared to other Sahara accommodations was thanks to Omar. The owner was fantastic, always available and in the right mood! We were lucky to book a day of excursions with him and it was great! I should add that the transfers are included in the price. The only flaw, if you can call it that, was the property’s location, slightly farther from the dunes compared to others. Thanks to that, though, the nights were quiet!

“Africaaaa!”

I appreciated the desert drive when Omar (owner) picked us up (included in the price, as well as the ride back to my car during checkout). The desert views were stunning. The buggy ride through the desert that you can book via Omar, with an employee accompanying you on a quad, was very nice and helpful. The new camp facilities are all updated—from the AC to the bathroom. The tent is very luxurious and comfortable, and the bed is one of the best I’ve had on my trip around Morocco. Omar and his brother were helpful, offering buggy rides in the desert or a 4x4 excursion to the nomads, and he even helped me with an extension cord for a device that needed to stay on all night. There’s a normal power socket in the room and USB‑A connections near the beds; just ask Omar if you need devices running all night. If you’re looking for a reliable stay, this is one of the best options—it exceeded my expectations. I booked 2 nights. On the first night, 3 or 4 other tents were booked so the air conditioning stayed on all night. On the second night, I was the only one booked and they had to shut down the generator after bedtime. It got a bit hot in the tent later that night but it was doable. The normal electricity for lights and small devices stayed on all night.

This tent hotel is fantastic; everyone loved it, and the food was excellent—both the dinner that day and the morning breakfast were generous. The staff were very warm. Deep in the Sahara, it’s very quiet, and the night sky is perfect for stargazing.

We had an amazing stay! The accommodation was excellent – the tent was beautiful, very spacious, and comfortable. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. On our first evening, there was live music in the camp, which made the atmosphere even more special. They picked us up by car and took us on a very exciting drive through the dunes – we really enjoyed it! We also booked a 4x4 safari and spent the whole day driving around in a jeep, including lunch, which was a fantastic experience. Another great plus is that there is no extra charge for transport to the camp. Highly recommended!
