The rooms were spacious with very comfortable beds, but the property is far from the city center; it’s quiet, yet there’s nothing nearby if you need to shop.

The apartment was nice, roomy, and spotless, and the hosts were friendly and ready to help with any request; having a pool on site was a bonus and breakfast was tasty. However, the beds felt a bit too firm for my taste and the WIFI failed throughout our stay.

We were wowed by the host’s warm reception, feeling like family; any issue, the host would do their best to help. We were worried at first that the location might be dirty or old, but it wasn’t; you can see the host’s care in maintaining the environment. On the first day we dined inside the guesthouse, food was tasty, generous portions, and not expensive—about 350–450 per meal. That night we had dinner on the roof, enjoying the beautiful night view of the Valley of the Kings. There’s a small shop inside where a bottle of water costs 15 pounds, cheaper than outside; many shops charge 20 to foreign visitors. Breakfast is 150 per person, and we booked a family room for three nights for about 80 dollars. In the morning you can still go to the roof to watch the hot air balloons rise; if you want to enjoy the view, I highly recommend this spot—just a bit remote. The host told us on the first day that he would go to Cairo to visit his daughter; any problem, just ask his assistant, a 20‑year‑old young man I liked for his enthusiastic service. We needed white wine that day and he helped us buy it outside. We hired a driver and guide; whenever the driver arrived, the assistant would immediately knock and tell us the driver was there, and they didn’t refuse service just because we didn’t book through them. He also helped us withdraw money, buy coffee, print things—so many thanks! We hope to return to Luxor in the future. no shower head, the bathroom isn’t separated into wet and dry areas.
