The hotel is very good and feels safe for solo travellers; it sits on the opposite side from the VFS and is a 5‑minute walk away.

The location is convenient—just cross the road to VFS Chennai—and the room was decent for a single night. However, the staff lacked professionalism: I arrived at 10:30 pm, tired, and went to reception where a few middle‑aged to young men in night/home‑boy outfits were seated in a circle, eating a Biriyani feast. They told me to wait 10 minutes while they finished eating before attending me. While they ate, I sat on one of the sofas, and the veranda was unhygienic with junk scattered everywhere. Rodents were running from one corner of the open canal to the other. There were no formal hotel systems—no telephone to call reception from the room, no room service, and reception was just a table with an open veranda that looked more like a junk yard with torn, rodent‑infested sofas. The pictures were highly deceptive. The rooms were old, with decent hygiene but broken plaster on the walls. Even if everything could be fixed for a night, the postings were far from reality and that disappointed me greatly. There are no good restaurants nearby, so expect mediocre food. They advertised breakfast at 80 rupees per head but denied it when I asked. So only choose this place for a single night if you need proximity to VFS Chennai and can manage the food yourself; otherwise, a few kilometres away at a 3‑star hotel would be better.
