The spot is actually great – just outside Himare with the beach a short walk away and even a fridge in the room. Unfortunately the pictures are misleading; there’s no reception desk and when we got there nobody was there, plus the phone went straight to voicemail. We eventually got help from the hotel across the street, were forced to pay cash and were offered a wildly inflated exchange rate that we refused. At about €90 a night the price felt way too high for what the place actually offers.

The place sits in a handy spot, which is the only thing that really stands out. The building itself feels cheap and poorly maintained, making the overall experience disappointing.

Nothing special to mention positively. At 1 am we couldn’t get the room door open, called the front desk and got no answer – we finally managed to force it open on our own and still heard nothing back. One night the power cut out completely, which felt like a slap in the face from an unresponsive staff.

The terrace is spacious, quiet and offers a nice view, which was a real plus. Inside, the bedroom door is a nightmare to open, the TV is tiny, the shower holder is broken and water leaks straight into the room. Those issues outweigh the pleasant outdoor space.
