I asked for a location near Gengenbach, but this was 12 km away with nothing around it. I didn’t feel comfortable, the Wi‑Fi was bad, I had to go out to buy shampoo the first night, and I barely slept… All I can say is the family was very kind, but I was looking for a different type of accommodation.

The place was very clean, the beds were super comfy and the staff were friendly all the time. Even though the language was a barrier, they translated everything with a tablet so we understood perfectly. You had a kitchen, which is great when traveling. Parking was available right at the hotel entrance. The surroundings and the town were beautiful, a key spot if you want to explore the Black Forest villages; I would definitely recommend the place 100% to other travelers.

The apartment was super comfy, had every convenience, all spotlessly clean and well cared for, and in a very quiet area. The host was a lovely lady who only spoke German, but she used a tablet as a translator so we could communicate and get all kinds of explanations. It was fun and everything.

The lady who welcomed us was very kind and managed to communicate with us through simultaneous translation on a tablet. She guided us to understand how everything worked in each room, offered the option to cook and to eat meals on a large terrace.
