It has a great location for the town and beaches. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The price was good compared to other accommodations. Unfortunately my room was uncomfortably hot when the weather was warmer; this is an important issue that should be rectified.

Staff were really lovely and helpful. it's a fantastic location for the town and for surfing/beaches. Comfy bed, clean room, nice and quiet. Free coffee was a bonus and helpful to have a little fridge to put a few bits in. Lots of places to sit and work/take calls for a couple hours although that was impossible for 2 days as there was a kids club. Was easy and cheap to rent boards, although it's a decent walk if you're carrying anything over 7". It would be so much better if guests could make use of the kitchen, even to prepare a quick breakfast before surfing or properly store a few bits for the week. It really feels like a surf hostel environment, not a hotel, and therefore this is the type of thing that would entice lots more travellers who aren't coming to newquay to eat out 3x meals a day. This would have made my experience significantly better!
