I was thrilled to find the hotel spread over a hectare of land with a stunning garden that made the place feel very peaceful, and the swimming pool was a great bonus that let me take a refreshing swim every evening.

The location was quiet yet close to the highway, but overall it was quite disappointing; several issues that many others have mentioned remain unaddressed: a sewer smell in the room and bathroom, breakfast that was only sweet and the same each day served no earlier than 8 am, bedding that creaked and a mattress that was extremely soft (whether that’s good or bad is up to you), average cleaning with hair everywhere in the bathroom and sheep under the bed (I had to put a wedge under one of the bed legs), a hard, worn hand soap in the bathroom that wasn’t very hygienic, no information about the Wi‑Fi, and a friendly dog that jumps on cars—watch out for scratches!
