The key hand‑over was completely staff‑free and worked exactly as described.

The place is well located and the beds feel very cozy. The staff can be reached by phone, though they’re not very helpful. There was no Wi‑Fi, the hot water never worked, and I had to ask them to fix it on the first of my eight days. I also found another guest’s hair on the bed.

The hilltop location with a lift is great in winter, and the cable car to Ochsenkopf is a short walk away. The building looks very old; the facilities feel like they’re from the 80s/90s. There’s no restaurant on site and the rooms lack a kitchenette.

The setting is very beautiful, quiet, and the Danube is fantastic. The shower pressure in the bathroom wasn’t very strong.
